Danny Abel is a director, editor and creative director at Good Motorist. Together with producer Brett Blake, he leads the company’s work across documentaries, branded content and comedy.
Danny is an award-winning director and editor whose feature documentary, The King of North Sudan, was produced by Good Motorist and Rough House Pictures (Danny McBride, David Gordon Green) and distributed by Gravitas Ventures. He has directed and edited multiple award-winning documentary series, including New Beginnings (Amazon Prime), Electric (Vice), which won a Webby Award for Best Long-Form Branded Content, and The Human Account, a 30-part series for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
He is also a sought-after feature documentary editor. His work includes a pair of music documentaries about legendary British rock bands Blur and Oasis: blur: To The End, which premiered at Sheffield DocFest and whose rights were acquired by Sky, and Liam Gallagher: Knebworth ’22, acquired by Paramount+.
Danny is a proud foster parent and lives in Echo Park, Los Angeles.
